Research and Development Leads To Customer Satisfaction

RevingtonTR Workshops-Knowledge and Passion

As long as there has been a RevingtonTR there has been a RevingtonTR workshop. The company was started by Neil Revington in the early 1980's and he was joined later by Carl Kiddell and latterly Dan Allen. These 3 people form the highly skilled and knowledgeable team that specialise in the Triumph “TR” range. Not wanting to diversify away from cars he knows in great depth, is a policy that has kept us at the top of our game for many years. From the very beginning Neil was designing and developing parts to improve and upgrade his own TR. These parts soon found their way into the market place and from then on there was no looking back. These days Neil continues to develop, upgrade and check existing parts for the best, most cost effective parts that we can supply. Nearly all of the parts we sell have at some stage been tested on our own cars, either during Neil’s road and race events or test fitted in our workshop. This has proved to be a great benefit to our business and you, our customers.

Natalie,  Neil  Sue, Marcus, Carl, Alan, Dan, Dave, Bill (Retired), Rob (just out of shot. Must get a new photo!)

With this experience behind us we believe we offer a great service at a cost effective price also providing continued customer support long after the car has left our workshops. That is just one reason why you should consider RevingtonTR for your service, refurbishment and upgrade work. With Neil backing up Carl and Dan together with our own parts department backing up the workshop we are able to offer a great all inclusive service.

Why not give us a call when you need professional workshop support that lasts long after your car has left the workshop. RevingtonTR, Renowned for their "Knowledge and Passion" for the TR Marque.

See and Be Seen - Stainless Steel Lamp Bars

Lamp Bars for Triumph TR4-TR5
Our Stainless Steel Lamp bar for Triumph TR4, 4A, 250, 5 allows the fitting of auxillary lights. No holes need to be drilled as the bar fits to the bumper irons.

This new Lamp Bar is a Revington TR development, which unlike the 'rally' lamp bar (RTR8126K and RTR8126XK) does not require the removal of the front bumper. This alternative new version can be fitted straight to the car with the bumper in situ and also allows the bonnet to open normally. The bar bolts to the inboard pair of bumper iron bolts, which fall in the same place on all bumpers TR4, 4A, 250, 5.

Once in place the bar can then be fitted with the 5" fog or auxiliary driving lights that it is designed to carry. The lamps are positioned 420mm apart.

Please note that the overriders fitted to TR4 front bumpers are much closer together than those fitted to the TR4A, TR250 and TR5. With the spacing between the lamps at 420mm as mentioned above, a TR4 overrider is 65mm from the centre line of the lamp, where the lamp is at its widest. This dimension being 250mm on a TR4A, 250, 5 as the overriders are much further apart. If 65mm (TR4 only) will not accommodate your chosen lamps, then we suggest making a simple steel strap 4mm x 30mm, which can be bolted between the two bar lamp mounts. This strap can be drilled to accommodate your lamps at a spacing to suit you.

Customer Endorsement

"The light bar arrived today, and I am very impressed. The fit looks to be perfect, and the finish is extremely nice. I particularly like the added brace under the light mounts to help eliminate vibration...nice touch! Thank you for the fast shipment." Bob G. USA

TR2-TR6 Heater - Bulkhead Pipe Stainless Connectors

New Stainless Steel Connectors

These are reproductions of the originals and have been faithfully reproduced in stainless steel. These great looking stainless steel bulkhead connectors are now available from RevingtonTR. Available for the full range from TR2 to TR6. One end of the connector has been sand blasted to improve the grip of the hose on to the pipe to prevent the hose slipping off. We would also recommend Heldite jointing compound be applied to prevent the pipes coming off the end without the swage. There have been incidents of this happening with the original connector so we always recommend a belts and braces approach for this hose joint.

The Advantages of an Adjustable Upper Fulcrum-

-And Why You Might Need One For Your TR2-TR4 or TR4A-6

TR2-4 adjustable top fulcrum. Enables accurate setting of camber. This could be required due to minor chassis misalignment. This useful kit obviates the need to "cut and shut" wishbones. Designed and developed by Revington TR in 1990 and still a best seller world wide! Although copied by other manufacturers, who do not know how it actually works and do not supply definative instructions, we believe ours is still the most comprehensive kit.

This kit incorporates a fulcrum which can be slid over the top of the turret allowing accurate camber setting. Once set, a top plate provided is welded in place to secure the assembly (extra top plates are available should future alteration be required). The welding required is very minor. There is a top plate which clamps the main body which slides under it to enable camber to be adjusted. Once set to the correct camber it is good practice to make a couple of small tack welds so the top plate is fixed to the main body. This kit uses late TR4 to TR6 type top wishbones and Top ball joint, and the late TR4 three degree caster trunnion. Full instructions are included.

TR2 to early TR4 owners will need to purchase some standard late TR4-6 components. The wishbones are set wider than normal, spacers being provided to be selectively placed either side of the Top ball joint to ensure the vertical link is under no tension. The standard TR4-6 components required are: -

2 x 133504SHPC Top wishbone, second-hand powder coated. 2 x 133507SHPC Top wishbone, second-hand powder coated, 2 x GSJ131GR Top ball joint, 1 x 133838 Lower trunnion RH, 1 x 133839 Lower trunnion LH.

Uprated Steering Column Bushes for TR2-TR6

How to Remove Play From the Steering Column

An MOT failure (and other country specific service checks) usually are the main drivers to change the Steering column top bush. But did you know there is just 1 bush on the TR2-TR3 solid column, 3 bushes on a TR3A split column  and 2 on the TR4-6.
Revington sell these bushes in kits with full fitting instructions to ease fitment, remove the play and further improve your driving pleasure.

The felt bush is always troublesome. It’s either too tight or too lose as it wears out very quickly. Revington TR’s design uses a machined plastic bush with a polyurethane outer. This extends the service life of the bushes way beyond anything achievable from a felt bush. These bushes can also be used in Spitfire, GT6 and Herald columns (check web site for correct part numbers). TR2-TR3A will need the column to be drilled to take the locating lugs on the bush if you wish to carry out the correct service fix. The lugs can be removed if the modification required is not one you wish to carry out. Once fitted you should never have a problem with steering column bushes again.

Click on the link below to buy or see more information. All bushes are available in single items as well as kits.

TR2-6 Chassis Strengthening Kits

Make your chassis as strong as possible
RevingtonTR’s chassis strengthening kits have proved themselves over the years. These kits are some of our best selling parts and have been tried and tested on the works rally and Neil’s road and rally cars. The kits can increase chassis life, reduce the risk of failure in an arduous rally environment or stiffen the chassis for improved handling. Although best fitted when the body is off some kits can be fitted with the body on. A must if you are undertaking a full chassis restoration. Also best fitted before shot blasting and painting (but they can be fitted at any time), they will serve you well offering all of the above benefits.

We also have a range of sump guards, belly panels and chassis plates for full underbody protection.

Whatever your requirement check out the links below.
